My Morning Bath Obsession and Why I'm Adding It to My AM Routine

Babes, I’m OBSESSED with self care baths, and taking them in the morning is so NEXT LEVEL.

It feels peaceful and relaxing but in a different way than a bath in the evening or at night.

You’re not unwinding from your day, but instead, you are just getting started.

And i LOVE a s l o w start.

Here are some tips for AM baths:

1. Use This Time to Disconnect. Don’t Check Your Phone at All.

Leave all electronics like smartphones out of the bathroom. It’s not very safe anyways, babes!

This is a great time to focus on any immediate thoughts. Because I’m just waking up I’m refreshed and likely not thinking about news or social media until it’s pulled up on my phone or other devices.

It’s nice to delay that stampede of information and just allow natural thoughts to flow.

Consider having a journal and crystals from your wellness smudge bundle nearby to record your thoughts.

Usually, leaving my phone and other devices behind also makes it much easier for me to follow my full morning routine which allows me to optimize my performance throughout the day.

2. Take It Easy

Normally when I take self care baths I like to get really elaborate and use items from my self care bath checklist, but a morning bath is different.

Morning baths are meant to be slow and easy.

I keep it all simple by only adding a few items that are already nearby or have been on my mind. Here’s what I usually include:

  1. crystals from wellness smudge bundle

  2. epsom salt

That’s it!

There are so many options. Some of my self care favorites can also be found here.

What will you include?

3. Keep the Lighting Low

If your bathroom lights dim then turn them down really low.

If not then try to use a distant light from another room or hallway. This allows my eyes and entire body to slowly wake up.

Have you tried a morning bath?

Let me know what you think, babes!

Did you enjoy this?
